Coastal Flood Advisory issued along South Louisiana

With the approach of a tropical disturbance the next few days winds will increase out of the south pushing Gulf water onshore.

Thus, a Coastal Flood Advisory has been issued for Calcaseiu, Cameron, Iberia, St. Mary and Vermilion parishes from 1 AM Wednesday until 1 PM on Friday.

Tides are expected to run 2-3 feet above normal levels from Wednesday morning until Friday afternoon when the system finally moves off to the east and wind slip out of the north pushing the water back out into the Gulf.

Those that live along the coast should take the necessary precautions to prepare for the high waters which could cover roadways.
