UL Lafayette Athletics says that baseball head coach Tony Robichaux is continuing his recovery after undergoing surgery for a heart attack that hospitalized him on Sunday night.
Robichaux will visit Oschner Health Center in New Orleans to continue his post-surgery recovery efforts.
Athletic Director Bryan Maggard released a statement on Friday.
“Coach Robichaux and his family continue to do everything necessary for his full recovery,” the statement reads. “I know they are extremely grateful for all the support they are receiving from our community and friends afar.”
The university announced on Monday that Robichaux had undergone a successful medical procedure at Lafayette General Medical Center following the heart attack. He is expected to make a full and complete recovery.
